The Athena registration interface requires that OhMD specify department(s) when looking for newly registered patients. The department a patient is associated with for registration purposes is set in the Registration Department drop-down when registering a new patient:

The IDs for the departments in that drop-down need to be provided to OhMD as part of your implementation. Here is how you can find those IDs:

1. Click on the Cog icon on the top menu bar and choose the Billing option.

2. On the left hand menu scroll down to the Departments section and click the Departments option.

3. Scroll down past the form to create a new department to the listing of existing departments at the bottom. Provide the IDs for any department that could be selected as the Registration Department on the patient registration screen.
